Green Decor Idea: Plan an Art Swap!

Trade art that you’re tired of or that doesn’t go with your decor for new-to-you pieces! Here’s how to plan an art swap.
What’s an Art Swap?
An art swap can be a public event like the one at the Indie Craft Experience or a party with your friends. The idea is that you bring art that you’re tired of looking at or that doesn’t go with your decor and trade old pieces for new-to-you art. It’s a great way to make sure that any art you don’t want anymore goes to a good home and to adorn your walls with zero impact. Everybody wins!Plan an Art Swap
If you don’t live here in Atlanta but want to plan your own art swap, it’s easy as pie! Think of it as a naked lady party with less nudity. Here’s how to plan an art swap:- Find a space. You can either rent a space or use someone’s house. Just make sure you have enough room for the people and the art.
- Figure out display. You can let folks hang or lean their art on the walls or spread it out on the floor or the table.
- Fix snacks and drinks. What art show is complete without some wine and finger food, right? You don’t have to go overboard, but a few bottles of wine and a few easy-to-eat snacks really bumps things up a notch. If making enough for everyone seems overwhelming, you can ask guests to bring a snack or drink to share.
